I think the second half of the original patch needs to be added back. When I compile master with the proposed fix applied, nm shows that lib/libaccess/.libs/libns_dshttpd_la-aclcache.o references an unmangled INTereport symbol, but lib/base/.libs/libns_dshttpd_la-ereport.o provides it mangled.
