high 'wtime' with 2.4.5

I have a new instance of 2.4.5, on which I'm seeing a very high* 'wtime' in the access log. From https://www.port389.org/docs/389ds/design/access-log-new-time-stats-design.… I read > * *wtime* - This is the amount of time the operation was waiting in > the work queue before being picked up by a worker thread. > Is this still an accurate description of 'wtime' ? If true, I suspect the high values I'm seeing have nothing to do with the version of the software I'm running, and everything to do with the system on which the software is running. Work has arrived, and been queued, but there aren't enough worker-threads to keep the queue serviced in a timely manner. * 'high' as in 3,000% longer than what I see on a totally different system running 1.4.4 -- -- Do things because you should, not just because you can. Commercial support?

Hi everyone, do you know of any companies that provide commercial support for 389ds? I am looking for someone who can take a look at our installation and possibly tweak a few knobs to get everything working better. We have been using 389ds since 2016 and have been experiencing a few problems in the last few months. My superior does not want to use redhat-ds over 389ds and we don't need full 24/7 support, just a one time consultation. Thanks in advance, Julian

Cannot set nsslapd-dncachememsize with dsconf

Hi, I am trying to set nsslapd-dncachememsize to a bigger value using dsconf. I am following the steps from here: https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/red_hat_enterprise_linux/8/html/tu… But when I check the size afterwards using ldapsearch I get the previous size and not the value I set it to. I have read the note at the top of the documentation about only changing the value if necessary, but I am running into this error https://access.redhat.com/solutions/3098131 and the fix suggests changing the value. Help with dblib bdb2mdb

Hello. I was trying to migrate from bdb to mdb I use this command dsctl instanceName dblib bdb2mdb What I get at the end is: ... WAR The "nsslapd-ldapimaprootdn" setting is obslolete ... For LDAPI configuration, "nsslapd-rootdn" is used instead ... Backends importation 100% Error: 97 - 1 - 53 - Server is unwilling to perform - [] - Unauthenticated binds are not allowed And I don't understand if the operation was successful because dsctl -j instanceName healthcheck still report that "BDB is still used as backend" Any hint would be appreciated. Thanks
