Hi,
To sync LDAP with a custom backend you can also use the retro
changelog plug-in :
http://www.centos.org/docs/5/html/CDS/cli/8.0/Configuration_Command_File_...
As for your request to see the csn you can do it (if your user has
enough rights) by looking for nscpEntryWSI attribute. You will have
something like
nscpEntryWSI: ou;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000300010000:
ou=dix,ou=dep,ou=dgae,ou=dg,ou=organisation,dc=id,dc=polytechnique,dc=edu
nscpEntryWSI: telephoneNumber;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000200010000: +33169339924
nscpEntryWSI: physicalDeliveryOfficeName;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000100010000:
7:20-02
nscpEntryWSI: title;121419;vucsn-4b5d82cf000000010000: PERSONNEL
ENSEIGNANT VACATAIRE
nscpEntryWSI: loginShell;adcsn-4b557cb7000000010000;vucsn-4b557cb7000000010000:
/bin/bash

2010/2/22 Roberto Polli <rpolli(a)babel.it>:
hi all,
I'm trying to retrieve the csn with ldapsearch and ldapadd/modify.
I need it for syncing ldap with a custom backend.
For now I'm using the modifytimestamp, but for each add/modify I have to issue
a subsequent ldapsearch to retrieve the modifytimestamp...
The control I'm trying to use is the following:
https://www.opends.org/wiki/page/DefinitionCSNControl
the csn of the entry is reported into fedorads logs.
[18/Feb/2010:17:05:32 +0100] ... ADD dn="piEntryId=1..134c..."
[18/Feb/2010:17:05:33 +0100] RESULT err=0 .. csn=4b7d654e000000010000
Hope somebody can help.
Peace,
R.
