I have been trying to build the idm-console-framework for fedora 7+ and get the following warnings and failures - Any suggestions about how I get past these?

What JDK are you building with? It almost certainly won't build with gcj.

You've found the reason that the console isn't provided on F-7. There isn't a free JDK that can build it currently available for F-7. You'd have to start by backporting IcedTea from F-8 to F-7.
Or you can install a proprietary JDK and build it that way. I don't think console will run with gcj either still so you'd need the JRE/JDK installed to run console as well.
