can i do the $subject somehow, even for the directory manager? once i set up the dirsrv to readonly, it refusing the replication :) as logical..
I want a local replica, but without the possibility to screw it up, just authenticating from it.

If you set up a replica as a dedicated consumer, it will be read-only for all clients except replication clients. Are you saying that directory manager is allowed to write to the read-only replica, and other users are not?
