More configuration updates.
This adds some standard default settings that had not yet been ported
into our 3.2 codebase, and some more setup for test.

Fix FactoryGirl references.
Seemingly because we are working inside a module, 'Factory' was not
being resolved correctly, but 'FactoryGirl' is. Fix references so
factories are found by tests.

Valid Audrey return types?
by Justin Clift
Hi Greg/Dan/Joe,
Am creating a (complicated) 2 node assembly at the moment. One complication
I'm hitting is that one of the nodes needs to generate an ssh key when
it's created, then place that on the other node as an authorized_keys
file.
Similar to the Audrey pubkey example, but can't be pre-defined in
the XML.
The dbup.rb script in the Audrey Wordpress example makes me think
this could be achieved by something similar. i.e. having a .rb file
that instead of returning "true" when the database setup script is
run, it returns the generated public key.
Audrey would then pass this across to the other node. My scripting
there would see the public key in an Audrey environment variable,
then use that to create the authorized_keys file.
Does this approach seem ok, or am I over thinking this?
Note, I don't have a clear idea of what the valid return types are
for things listed as "returns" in deployables. (like ipaddress and
dbup). Hoping full files are ok, but kind of doubtful. Text
strings workable?
Haven't seen any docs around this bit, but might have missed
them. (?)
All thoughts/ideas appreciated. :)
Regards and best wishes,
Justin Clift

New Aeolus template repo now on GitHub
by Justin Clift
Hi all,
We started a GitHub repo yesterday for upstream Aeolus templates:
https://github.com/aeolus-incubator/templates
It's using a hierarchal structure to make things easy to find:
\
-- db_servers
| |-- fedora-16
| |-- MySQL
|
-- games
| |-- fedora-16
| |-- BrowserQuest
|
-- web
|-- fedora-16
|-- Apache Http Server
Those are just the initial ones I personally had lying around,
which definitely work "out of the box" on all our supported Cloud
providers.
Please fork the repo and Submit any ones you have, creating
categories / operating systems, etc as needed.
If your templates are not yet perfect, but work ok for at
least one provider, that's good enough. :)
I should be able to test/adjust them for cross cloud support
without too much effort. :D
Regards and best wishes,
Justin Clift

BZ 857542
by Jan Provazník
Hi,
this patch fixes a problem with restarting stopped RHEVM instances.
You can reproduce the bug only with RHEL setup (with old deltacloud-core).
Reproduction steps:
1. start a deployment with single instances
2. stop this deployment
3. you should see on deploymnt's history page that the instance was started again

presenting Aeolus at the OLF
by Mo Morsi
I just was offered a slot to present Aeolus at The Ohio LinuxFest [1].
The OLF is one of the biggest community-run Linux conferences in the
States so it'll be a great opportunity to share / promote the project to
a wide / diverse audience.
The conference is at the end of September, so besides my usual security
and other work up to then, I'm going to be taking some time to throw
together and send around a quality presentation for the event. I would
like to heavily lean on a demo, using the wui and cli tools to deploy to
the cloud using a hosted instance of Aeolus (even if that is non-public
at the time being). I'd like to skip over the configure / setup stuff
and just demonstrate the meat and bones of using the application to
deploy to the cloud.
Any thoughts, comments, presentation material, etc would be appreciated,
-Mo

Aeolus upstream community-building
by Matt Wagner
The following is a new meeting request:
Subject: Aeolus upstream community-building
Organizer: "Matthew Wagner" <mawagner(a)redhat.com>
Location: Google Plus Hangout!
Time: Thursday, September 20, 2012, 2:00:00 PM - 2:30:00 PM GMT -05:00 US/Canada Eastern
Invitees: niteshnarayanlal(a)indiatimes.com; hbrock(a)redhat.com; athomas(a)redhat.com; jclift(a)redhat.com; mmorsi(a)redhat.com; rbergero(a)redhat.com; fvollero(a)redhat.com; aeolus-devel(a)lists.fedorahosted.org
*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*
Hi folks,
This is an invite to the next meeting to talk about building the Aeolus community and outreach efforts.
We held this on Google Hangout last time, which worked well. You will need a Google Plus account to attend, and a working microphone (and speakers or a headset). It's a video chat (though it will work without video if you don't have a camera), so do wear a shirt. You might want to try a Google Hangout ahead of time to see if things work; their client can be persnickety.
Notes from our last meeting are here: http://lists.fedorahosted.org/pipermail/aeolus-devel/2012-September/01251...
Hopefully this time we can talk a bit about how to go about implementing some of these things!

[PATCH conductor] BZ 837027 - Pool to Cloud Resource Zone fix
by Matt Wagner
We were referencing a non-existent string, causing "Pool" to be
displayed as a missing translation -- thus it didn't get converted
to product names.
The way we are joining these two strings rather than using a new
string is broken but out of scope. I entered #858827 for that.
This resolves https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=837027
