I think boot from iSCSI should be enabled only for positive list of
arches (like x86, ppc), I guess it requires special support in
device firmware
the Fedora/ARM list is in on CC

Mele A1000G Quad (AllWinner A31 quad core Cortex-A7)
by Richard W.M. Jones
I'm pretty impressed with the general build quality of the
Mele A1000G Quad. It seems to me that development boards offer no
real advantage over it.
What sort of information would I need to collect in order to have this
working in Fedora or with the AllWinner remix? Looking at Hans's
github repositories it seems like the "*.fex" file is important in
some way, but I don't know where this comes from or how to create it.
Apart from this is anything else required?
Rich.

Peter,
thanks for the quick reply. I am now running with the kernel you
recommended, but I still do not see the sata drive.... (see below).
Do I need to do anything else?

Sata on Wandboard Quad for F20
by Ronald
I cannot see a Sata attached drive when running F20 on the wandboard
quad... When I load Ubuntu, the attached drive is fully functional...
What do I have to do to get Sata drive working under F20?

How do I enable mounting /usr as a separate (read-only) partition on Fedora 17?
by Alex Villacís Lasso
I have this ARM project for which I have installed Fedora 17 armv5tel on a SD card. The installation is one small FAT partition where the kernel and initramfs files can be placed, and one EXT3 partition where the root filesystem lives. This mode of
operation boots correctly.
Now I want to move the contents of /usr to a separate partition, and lock this partition read-only. After some investigation on how to coax the bootloader to load the initramfs, I managed to boot the kernel with the initramfs, only to find out that it
wants to run /sbin/init . The /sbin is a symlink that should end up in /usr, but I specify the root filesystem as the rootfs in the kernel commandline, and the initramfs has not mounted /usr to resolve all of the symlinks, even after specifying the device
in /etc/fstab. After some googling, it seems that the /usr separation was not fully implemented in Fedora 17, but was completed in Fedora 18.
What do I have to do to enable the /usr separation in Fedora 17? I do not really want to port the entire project to Fedora 18, and I think it will be easier to just grab the relevant packages or patches from Fedora 18, recompile for Fedora 17, install, and
then separate the filesystem as indicated. Is this doable? What packages should I pick from Fedora 18? I know that Fedora 17 is EOL, and I do not expect any updated packages for this, but I can recompile packages.

Marsboard support
by Zoltan Hoppar
Hi,
I have found an cheap nice board what is very similar to the Olimex
Olinuxino A10/A20 board, and it's contains also Mali400 chip - it's called
Marsboard (www.marsboard.com). The point that made me thinking is the
prize, what is less then the Olimex one. Free worldwide shipping is total
65 bucks, what is interesting. But I don't know that is any Fedora support
for it?
Yes, I have seen on the website that capable to run Fedora (possibly 19, I
think) but not sure. More information? This is known board? Problems with
it? Or better to vote for Olimex?
Thanks,
Zoltan

F20 Beta-5 on BeagleBone Black
by Jos Vos
Hi,
Does somebody have experience with the F20 Beta-5 image on a BeagleBone
Black?
I followed the instructions I found on
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Architectures/ARM/F20/Installation
and tried to boot from it (powercycling while pushing the boot button
above the microSD slot), but nothing seems to happen after that.
When booting Angstrom and inserting the microSD, it sees all partitions
etc. so the content of the microSD looks "technically" ok.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
Thx,
