BeagleBone Black cannot boot with Fedora 34/35
by Zamir SUN
Hi,
Recently I reflashed my BeagleBone Black. However, I find it simply
cannot go beyond uboot with Fedora 34 or Fedora 35.
Images I tried:
Fedora-Minimal-35-20211020.n.0.armhfp.raw.xz
Fedora-Minimal-34-1.2.armhfp.raw.xz
If I press the button when plug the power cable, it will loop forever
like the following
U-Boot SPL 2021.10 (Oct 14 2021 - 00:00:00 +0000)
Trying to boot from MMC1
U-Boot SPL 2021.10 (Oct 14 2021 - 00:00:00 +0000)
Trying to boot from MMC1
U-Boot SPL 2021.10 (Oct 14 2021 - 00:00:00 +0000)
Trying to boot from MMC1
CCCCCCCC
U-Boot SPL 2021.10 (Oct 14 2021 - 00:00:00 +0000)
Trying to boot from MMC1
If I don't press the button it will boot directly to the system in emmc.
I've tried different tf cards and concluded it's not the card issue.
The latest image that works for me on BBB is
Fedora-Minimal-armhfp-33-1.2-sda.raw.xz
It's interesting that the image has a different name schema that F34/F35
ones(the sda in filename). I roughly remember I also tried F33 without
'sda' - Fedora-Minimal-33-1.3.armhfp.raw.xz and IIRC this also cannot boot.
So is there any different for images with or without -sda ? Can anyone
offer some suggestions how I can test or boot F35 on BBB?
Thanks in advance!

arm 32 bit fedora quit booting
by Timothy Krantz
I have several 32 bit arm machines running fedora 35. I update them via dnf
on an almost daily basis.
Yesterday afternoon I had a brief power failure and now none of them will
boot or boot into an unusable state. At first I suspected the power blip
was the culprit but now I am not so sure. I am getting similar behavior on
all of them.
Here is a capture of my wandboard quad :
https://pastebin.com/fVQYCXML
The first thing that I see that looks bad is about 26 seconds in :
[ 26.070965] systemd-journald[234]: Received SIGTERM from PID 1 (systemd).
But maybe that is a red herring. Things do go south from there.
Similar issues on a lime2 and a ras pi running 32 bit code.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Running Fedora on a Galaxy Tab 3 ?
by Philip Rhoades
People,
I tried searching the arm archives but every time I searched for "galaxy
tab", I would get a few results on the screen, then my disk would thrash
and eventually I would get a Brave error that there was failure with the
page display . . not sure what is going on . . anyway . .
Is the answer to my Subject Q positive? I have an old GT3 and it is
deadly slow and unusable, I thought it might be interesting to get F
running on it as an exercise . .
Thanks,
Phil.

Rockpro64 fan control
by Aaron J. Siegel
Hello
The fan on my Rockpro64 does not work with fedora 34 installed. The
file /sys/class/hwmon/hwmon1/pwm1 has the value 255. All the solution I
have found were for Debian/Ubuntu and require installing firmware.
Thank you

NanoPI R2S - support in Fedora
by Brandon Johnson
I'm trying to get Fedora 35 (Server and IoT) working on the NanoPI R2S. It looks like it is in Uboot tools but the board isn't listed as a supported board in arm-image-installer. I added my own board file since it is just a Rockchip SOC. I've add good results doing that with its big brother, the NanoPI R4S. I just ordered a serial cable to see if I can debug this, but I wanted to just see if anyone has had any luck with this board.
