If that problem is ongoing, consider disabling patch105
(qt-everywhere-
opensource-src-4.7.1-webkit_debug_javascriptcore.patch) on arm, which
should
help a bunch.
Does the machine have a wired network port? The trick I use on my
Kirkwood machines (love those gigabit ports) is to use nbd for
/var/lib/mock and swap, with zram swap set to 1/2 the physical memory.
With nbd backed by my storage box (13 SATA disks, ZFS), the disk I/O
performance for intensive tasks such as mock building has improved by
several orders of magnitude compared to even the fastest available SD
cards when it comes to random-write I/O. That should cure your OOM
without crippling the performance or killing your flash.
