just in case anyone was wondering about the chroot problem.....
when you cross compile for the sheevaplug using float=soft instead of float=softfp and a full recompile of all packages fixed the problem and i have finally created a stage1 chroot rootfs from the distribution packages!!!
may be a small feat for some people...but i thought i would share that if you compile with the wrong fpu and the wrong cpu/arch....you get Illegal ...errors with you try to chroot the rootfs.
Dont fear the penguin!

I figure there's no point in reporting this in bugzilla since F13 is EOL, but I figure it's worth mentioning here for those that still have to use F13 on ARM.
/usr/include/linux/netfilter/xt_CHECKSUM.h appears to be missing from kernel-headers-2.6.34.9-69.fc13.armv5tel. This makes some versions of iptables fail to build.

Hmm, is this cross-build specific? I would have expected softfp to work provided your kernel has FPU emulation enabled.
