Hello,
I'd love to help out my favorite Linux distribution and get low-level development experience. In particular, I'm interested in working on U-Boot to get it to boot Fedora aarch64 on a RockPro64. I have a Bachelor of Science in computer science, so I know how to code. I've used Java, Python, and C#.
I'm looking for someone willing to be a sort of part-time mentor; i.e. they wouldn't have to hold my hand, but at least help me get started in setting up an ARM/U-Boot development environment and answering questions I would have about U-Boot.
Cheers, Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey,
Feel free to reach out to me on freenode (dgilmore), I do not have a huge amount of time but I can help you get started in working on u-boot. We have a mostly upstream u-boot and work to get all patches upstream. Getting engaged upstream will also be a necessary step.

It seems that Intel and AMD have monopolized the market share of server CPU unfortunately. However, Gigabyte has produced ARM (32core 128 threads CPU) server to our joy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfVG8jHMTog
I hope that some of influential figure of Redhat or Fedora developers will urge other motherboard makers to adopt ARM based CPU for servers or ATX motherboards
