Hey gang,
Anything finger-food worthy with this new spec_checks tool?
Thanks, James
Hi James,
I looked into the code, and (if I understand this correctly), this is ment to check the spec file before rpms are created?
What did you have in mind with the finger-food stuff? Checking up on autoqa specfile, or creating a new test which utilizes this tool?
If the second is right, then I'd rather waited until we have the 'independent test support' - we can possibly use this as a example for this idea ;-)
J.

I haven't studied the tool, but according to description, this is not 'independent package test', but rather generic test that allows to check the spec file of every package build, right? In that case I'd propose creating a new ticket in Future tests milestone with link to that discussion thread.

Yeah, that was my impression, this is something to run against all packages, not just a single package. I suspect it might be another iteration of a previous attempt to automate the package review guidelines (https://fedorahosted.org/autoqa/ticket/218).
I updated the existing ticket, since the concept is the same. If anyone wants to take a look and see if there is value in automating it's execution for all packages, dive in!
Thanks, James
