I believe it was more of an initial proposal and nothing more wasn't needed at that time. If there is a reasonable usecase, it should be relatively straightforward to extend koji to use separate Packages directories. Anyway, it is not configurable and it is the only supported behaviour now. Feel free to create RFE at https://pagure.io/koji/

Hello,

I'm trying to use koji dist-repo to create repos and populate them from a koji tag. We're trying to replace mash and would like the output to be as similar as possible.
As we have some debuginfo rpms, I'm using --split-debuginfo option to also create the appropriate repository for them.
The problem is that these packages will end up in the same Package folder of the arch directory, instead of a their own Package folder inside of a debug directory, as mash would set it up.

Why does it work this way? It creates issues when trying to reposync the resulting directory, as the debuginfo packages are not in the expected location. Is this behavior something that could change or be made configurable? I could help work towards this, if necessary.

Kind regards,
