Totally agree. As far as I remember, the split did happens arounc 1.3
or 1.4, where some of the patches were not incorporated to devel
branch.
Now that all the required changes are incorporated, the note referring
to github should be dropped, and the page rename.
I have no idea about if renaming of removing pages on the wiki is
possible. If you agree, I will handle that, copying and cleaning
contents.
If you just want to zero out the alternatives page and add everything to
the main one, I can take care of deleting it.
