PXE client hanged after got IP address and downloaded NBP file by UEFI boot

Hello. I failed to install CentOS by uefi boot mode. Could you give me some suggestions? Thanks in advantage. Here are details: 1) Cobbler server :2.6.11 (installed on CentOS 7.2) 2) I am installing CentOS 7.2 on my Thinkpad T430 laptop (PXE client). 3) The variable "filename" in dhcp.template is default value as below: class "pxeclients" { match if substring (option vendor-class-identifier, 0, 9) = "PXEClient"; if option pxe-system-type = 00:02 { filename "ia64/elilo.efi"; } else if option pxe-system-type = 00:06 { filename "grub/grub-x86.efi"; } else if option pxe-system-type = 00:07 { filename "grub/grub-x86_64.efi"; } else { filename "pxelinux.0"; } } When PXE client boot in legacy BIOS mode, the cobbler worked correctly and installed OS successfully. But when I set the boot mode UEFI only, it hanged after got IP address by DHCP and downloaded NBP file. The last message is as below: >>Start PXE over IPv4. Station IP address is 192.168.1.133 Server IP address is 192.168.1.172 NBP filename is grub/grub-x86_64.efi NBP filesize is 243679 Bytes Downloading NBP file... Succeed to download NBP file. Sending keys/files to deployed hosts

Hey All, New Cobbler user here. What is the best method of ensuring deployed nodes have sensitive keys (chef keys, ssh, etc) securely uploaded when completed? Am I able to send them securely from the cobbler host somehow? Thanks for any and all tips!

cobbler not managing DHCP static IP after PXE

Platform: RHEL6 cobbler-2.6.5-9.1.noarch I would like cobbler to continue to manage my DHCP settings after kickstart. In this case I'd like a static IP for the system. The static IP works if "Netboot" is enabled, but if netboot is disabled (e.g. after kickstart is complete), then the entry is removed from dhcpd.conf -- so my machine get's a dynamic DHCP address instead of the static one assigned. Is this something fixed in a later release, or am I doing something wrong? Cobbler pxe boot and kickstart from trunk port

Hello, We want to PXE boot and kickstart servers from a trunk port. We use Cobbler already to install servers on normal access ports. In the cobbler manual we found that the "--interface" parameter supports VLAN tags, is this the whole trick? The cobbler/kickstart server will have a local IP in each VLAN. Anything else we are missing? Any help and answer appreciated. Cheers Chris

Disabling ipv6

Just in case this is an obvious question, I’ll ping this cloud. I’m finding that the built systems aren’t honoring any of my flags telling it not to enable ipv6. Anyone see this before and can point to a thread or discussion of it? I asked on IRC but no one had any answers... Thanks for everyone's time.
