Adapting to " cobbler import --path=rsync://ftp.belnet.be/centos/6/os/x86_64 --name=centos6" gave a successful import.
[root@geppetto isos]# cobbler list
distros:
   centos6-x86_64

profiles:
   centos6-x86_64

systems:

repos:

images:

mgmtclasses:

packages:

files:

In the first instance you are trying to import the updates and not the
distro.

In the second case I don't know if the minimal distro is supported.

This is the proper base for importing the latest (6.4):
http://mirror.centos.org/centos-6/6.4/os/

If you want just 64bit then choose x86_64
