Ok i noticed something else as well. my pxelinux.0 in /var/lib/tftpboot directory is 0 bytes. I tried to copy it from another directory and when i run "cobbler sync" again it zeros it out.

Let me know your system are able to load pxelinux.0 or not after getting the IP address from dhcp server. If your cobbler is configured properly and your systems are configured to boot from network, you will get the default pxe boot menu.Hi,No, its not necessary.

Hi santosh !
1. is it necessary to have a system listed in dhcp config. I made a pool of ips and the client system is getting its ip from it? unless you need to ask about any specific configuration.
2. The /etc/xinetd.d/tftp file has the parameter changed to "disable=no"
3. xinetd is running
4.iptables and selinux are disabled.

Regards=> make sure the system is listed in the dhcp configuration.Hi Sahibzada,Please check the following:=> check the tftpd configuration, make sure it is not disabled.=> make sure xinetd daemon is running.=> at last disable selinux and re-check.

Hi List, I dont know if anyone has posted this before., but I setted up a cobbler server on CentOS65 and the command cobbler check gives no error. created a distro, profile and added a system but when I network boot the system to be installed it goes to this balck screen where it shows the client ip, dhcp /cobbler server ip MAC address of client machine and wait there without proceeding forward. At this point I dont know how to troubleshoot , what is wrong with my configuration to see that menu screen, where I can select my profile. Any help is highly appreciated.
