Tim,

Sorry I was looking on my phone and didn't notice the rest of your other reply. The $tree actually normally comes from the distro assigned in your profile.

There are a few ways to create a distro, the first is simply to have a DVD and do an import. This will copy all the files into a http area, create the distro and make a few default profiles. This is the easiest.

The second is manually creating a distro that contains the location of the media.

If you are trying to use http://mirror.trouble-free.net/centos/5.6/os/x86_64 as your final location of the source, then give the
following command a try to edit your $tree for the old profile - to see if that works.

cobbler distro edit --name=<YourCentosDistro> --ksmeta="tree=http://mirror.trouble-free.net/centos/5.6/os/x86_64/"

replace <YourCentosDistro> with the distro you have in assigned in your working profile.

You can make a new distro by copying the current one, prior to running the command above.

cobbler distro copy --name=<oldname> --newname=<newname>

***When you created the system in cobbler did you set it up as DHCP or actually assign it an IP?  If you assigned it the ip information the network snippet will actually pass its IP.

Also, have you tried selecting Ok when you get to that screen to see if it proceeds?

Thanks,
-Tim
