After I have done running the diagnostic report, the blue "download report" button shows up. But when I click on it, a popup windows asks me if I want to save the file"sos-report-hostname-20171026143147.tar.xz". When I click "Save", the popup closes and well nothing else happens! No file is saved. The browser does not show any downloaded file.

Hard to pinpoint what it could be, unfortunately. What's your distro, version of distro, browser and version and version of Cockpit? Do you get the same behavior with another browser? - Andreas
Distro is Fedora 26. The browser is Vivaldi: User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/60.0.3112.105 Safari/537.36 Vivaldi/1.92.917.43 Cockpit: 155
It is not working either on Firefox 57.0b14 (64-bit): Nothing happens when I click on "Download report". Same with Firefox 56.0 (64-bit). Fuji
