we recently merged a development version of ansible module for
enabling copr repositories. At this moment we would like to get your
early feedback - before we submit this to Galaxy, or propose this as
ansible core library.
Quick howto. Either copy the copr.py file into
`/usr/share/ansible/plugins/modules/copr.py` or clone the repository
and create a symlink.
The usage is as easy as:
- name: enable foo project from Fedora Copr
See the README.txt for more info. Any comments or ideas are welcome.
we have just disabled Fedora 30 chroots in Copr.
According to the Fedora wiki , Fedora 30 reached the end of its life
on 2020-05-26 and therefore we are disabling it in Copr.
That effectively means that from this moment, it is no longer possible
to submit builds for the following chroots:
There will be a Copr outage starting at:
$ date --date '2020-11-13 8:30 UTC'
The outage will last approximately 3 hours. The copr-backend storage (copr
build results) will be offline for a while because we need to migrate the data
volume to a new machine and fix-up the networking (so things like 'dnf update'
will complain for enabled copr projects). We plan to minimize the backend
storage outage though (expected "full" downtime is up to 15 minutes).
Reason for outage:
We're updating copr packages to the new versions which will bring new features
and bugfixes. We also moving away from Fedora 31 (soon EOL) to Fedora 33.

Hello. Is there some copr outage in progress?
There are (close to) 0 running or pending builds, but 100+ builds are being
Some of them for many hours.
To make the future outages much shorter, we need to flip our production
stack to a new set of IPs, which will require us to change DNS records.
This action shouldn't cause any outage in ideal case, but potentially
we'll have to reboot some services (outage shorter than 3 minutes, e.g.).
We'll do it tomorrow, 2020-11-12 around 10:00 CET.
