Fedora Copr Outage - Updating to a March 2025 Version

Hello packagers, There will be a Fedora Copr outage starting at $ date --date "2025-03-26 08:00 UTC" The outage will last approximately 2 hours. The build queue processing will be stopped during the outage, and the Frontend/Web-UI will be down most of the time (no new tasks accepted). The DNF packages and repositories (hosted on copr-backend) will be available during this outage. Reason for outage: We will update the infrastructure machines to the latest packages that are currently being developed. Fedora Copr now supports OpenID Connect

Nothing to worry about. Fedora 39 is going end-of-life in 3 months. We're already on Fedora 40. Copr builders, their availability, location, etc

Hello, People are sometimes curious how many builders Copr has available, where they are located, etc. We had this simple table with pools of builders for quite some time https://download.copr.fedorainfracloud.org/resalloc/pools but newly, we added a description for every pool (click the pool name), trying to answer the common questions. If anybody asks, you can point them to the table :-) Jakub

Disabling Fedora 39 chroots in Copr

Hello packagers, we have just disabled Fedora 39 chroots in Copr. According to Fedora wiki [1], Fedora 39 reached the end of its life on 2024-11-26 and therefore we are disabling it in Copr. That effectively means that from this moment, it is no longer possible to submit builds for the following chroots: fedora-39-x86_64 fedora-39-i386 fedora-39-ppc64le fedora-39-aarch64 fedora-39-s390x Additionally, according to Outdated chroots removal policy [2], Copr is going to preserve existing build results in those chroots for another 180 days and then automatically remove them unless you take an action and prolong the chroots life span in your projects. Powerful builders for @rocm-packagers-sig

We spoke with Tom Rix recently and he expressed interest in enabling the 'powerful builder' feature for the ROCm SIG Copr project where he builds ROCm stack and other related AI software. https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/g/rocm-packagers-sig/RH/packages/ I'm sending this request on his behalf. Fedora Copr builders updated to Fedora 41

Hello maintainers, Fedora Copr builders were moved from F39 to F41. There's one known change that might cause troubles - the pyp2spec on F41 has some PEP 625 related changes, potentially failing your pyp2spec builds.
