Code of Conduct enforcement is documented here,
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Community_working_group/CoC_Enforcement
where ultimately enforcement (and possible sanction) is the
responsibility of the fedora council (board).

[council] #37: Need permission to create and use Fedora pad to provide certificates for unpaid internship

#37: Need permission to create and use Fedora pad to provide certificates for
unpaid internship

In India many engineering colleges asks their students to work on projects
as part of internship program (sometimes as summer internship). Most of
the time these internships are unpaid, and not a full time one.
In the case of completion of the internship, they need a certificate
letter explaining their work, printed on a formal looking pad.
I need permission from council to create one such pad design with help
from design team, and then use it to provide certificate to any such
student who will help Fedora project.
Certificates are must in most of the colleges, and that is why many of the
students can not work on anything related to FOSS projects. By allowing
this, we can start getting more contributors from the colleges (in India
and other similar places).
How to measure success of the internship work?
We will make sure that the student understand, and work with upstream
Fedora community only. This way each subproject can actually measure the
impact of the work from the students. We will have at least one mentor per
student project (sometimes they might work in groups).

open floor meeting today (topic: fedora council session at flock)
by Matthew Miller
In #fedora-meeting at 17:00 UTC. This is our unstructured open-floor
week. Last week, we suggested discussing our session at flock as a
topic, but if anything else comes up we can do that too.
Also, Remy will be on a plane traveling back from OSCON this afternoon
and sends his regrets.

Hello everyone! IRC meeting today at 17:00 UTC
by Matthew Miller
I'm back! Although today I'll probably mostly be digging myself out of
email from the past week, skimming meeting logs, etc.
But at 17:00 (1pm EDT), meeting in #fedora-meeting, as usual.
This is our "tickets and ongoing work" meeting. The intention isn't to
make the council work on tickets _require_ these meetings, and but just
to make sure things that need attention don't linger.
Things that are on my radar:
* Globalization FAD request
* PRD reviews
* Who do we want next for subproject status report?
* Dopr service
Anything else?

Budget requested for G11N FAD 2015
by Pravin Satpute
Hi Council members,
Globalization is definitely important but in recent FUDCon APAC 2015
it further strengthen this point when couple of people (Tibet and
Marathi) requested for localized version of Fedora to increase Fedora
adoption in there reason.
To complete few long pending task and plan for future development
Fedora G11N group has proposed FAD. [1] We are discussing this idea
from last 3 months. Most of the things now are in shape. AFAIK in
Fedora history we never had any FAD targeting G11N. I believe G11N FAD
will show community Fedora's interest in globalization and can help to
get community of users and developers from non-english speaking countries.
Proposed budget is $7000 (Travel+Social Event). We are optimistic to
get Stay sponsorship from Red Hat G11N group and also thinking to manage
local cost from attendees own pocket. One more plus point this FAD is
just happening after OpenStack summit At Tokyo [2], so there is chance
to get some more contribution/attendees for it.
Please guide us for how we can further improve our FAD and also let
us know if we can get budget approval for same.
Thanks,
Pravin Satpute

Enforcing the code of conduct
by Amit Shah
Hello all,
While organising the recent FUDCon in Pune we included a code of conduct, similar to the previous Flocks and other conferences worldwide.
I was wondering if we have any mechanisms in place where we can blacklist someone if indeed there was a violation.
I'm thinking of a Fedora project specific blacklist as well as a shared blacklist for major conferences worldwide.
The CoC would be pretty useless if there's no way to ban (from future gatherings) someone indulging in activities unwelcome to the project.
Also, we should include what steps we would take as a project depending on the nature of the violation in the CoC text itself.
If we already have such a mechanism in place, please point me to it. If not, would there be interest in setting up a service at least for Fedora events?
