FC1 ändert fstab beim Booten wieder um

Hallo Liste,
habe mir eine schöne fstab angepasst - leider ändert FC1 beim Booten
diese wieder um. Habe schon mal den kudzu deaktiviert, was nichts
brachte. Interessanterweise funktioniert die die geänderte fstab auf dem
Laptop, jedoch nicht auf dem Desktop PC.

Beim neuerlichen Booten ändert FC1 einfach meine fstab um - der Brenner
/dev/cdrom1 wird einfach durch untenstehenden Eintrag ersetzt.
/dev/cdrom1 /mnt/cdrom1 udf,iso9660
noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
Sicher weiss jemand von Euch Abhilfe. Danke im Voraus.

PS: Für alle die einen 6fach Cardreader (ohne Erfolg verwenden) > hier
gibt es einen tollen Workaround:

FC1 als Samba Client - tree connect failed

Hallo Liste,
versuche vergeblich (wie ich es von RH9 gewohnt bin) mich als Samba
Client zu verbinden. Funktioniert weder händisch und somit
logischerweise auch nicht über den Eintrag in der fstab.
-Samba Server funktioniert (mit RH9 Client)
-Pakete auf FC1 sind installiert (samba-client, samba-common
3.0.2-7.FC1)
-Grundlegende Konfiguration ident zu RH9 (wo es problemlos
funktioniert)
-Firewall deaktviert
Eintrag in der /etc/fstab

user,auto,credentials=/home/sch/.smbpasswd
Manuelle Samba-Verbindung üer Terminal:

SMB connection failed
Also ich weiss wirklich nicht mehr weiter und wäre für jede Hilfe sehr
dankbar. Einen Downgrade auf RH9 möchte ich mir ersparen, da ich mit
FC1 ansonsten sehr zufrieden bin.

fedoralinux.de tot?

Hallo,
als ich auf die Seite fedoralinux.de getoßen bin hatte ich gehofft das
dort eine ähnlich lebendige Community wie man sie unter auroxuser.de
oder mandrakeuser.de findet entstehen würde, ein Platz der Begegnung und
wo man Hilfe in Form von Foren und Anleitungen findet. Leider bewegt
sich dort offenbar nichts so recht weis einer von Euch genaueres? Was
mir aufgefallen ist war vor allen das die Seite aufgrund des verwendeten
CMS recht altbacken und träge wirkte.

K3b + NVidia + prelinking = Speicherzugriffsfehler

Hallo allerseits!
Ich hatte vor einiger Zeit Probleme mit einer gescheiterten KDE
Installation, siehe
http://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-de-list/2004-January/msg00205.html. Die Lösung hab ich jetzt im prelink.log gefunden, massenhaft Meldungen wie:
/usr/sbin/prelink: /usr/bin/konqueror: Cannot prelink against non-PIC
shared library /usr/lib/nvidia/tls/libGL.so.1.0.4620
Also den NVidia Treiber entfernt, prelink cronjob durchlaufen lassen,
NVidia wieder drauf = danach lief alles (erstmal).
Jetzt verweigert K3b auf einmal seinen Dienst mit einem
Speichezugriffsfehler. Bei der Gelegenheit habe ich dann ein Update auf
die neusten Pakete von Fedora.us und livna.org gemacht, jetzt läuft k3b
wieder.
Mein Problem: Ich weiß genau, dass es morgen früh (wieder) nicht mehr
funktionieren wird!
Kann ich ein Programm gezielt vom Prelinking ausnehmen? Soweit ich weiß,
geht das erst bei FC2 ?!

Umlaute

in der letzten Mail ist mir aufgefallen das die Umlaute nicht richtig
dargestellt werden was in anderen Listen kein Problem ist. Wie
k(ö)oennte ich dieses Problem umgehen?

Scanner unter Fedora Core 2 T2

Hi,
habe einen USB Scanner, der unter root von scanimage -L erkannt wird.
Unter user auch von sane-find-scanner, nachdem ich /dev/usb/scanner0 auf chmod
USERNAME:users gestellt habe, kam da beim user auch keine Meldung mehr, dass
er keine Rechte hat, aber trotz allem findet scanimage den nicht - wie kann
das kommen?
Der Scanner ist ein Mustek 1200 CU, USB Anschluss.
Möchte meinen Scanner doch ungerne als root nutzen...

Hi Anton,
ich hatte nach dem Umstieg auf FC1 (allerdings serverseitig) ein
ähnliches Problem, dessen Lösung, abgesehen von der etwas anderen
Konfiguration von Samba 3.0, in einer sehr esoterischen Problematik mit
einer 3Com Netzwerkkarte lag... Wenn Du meinst, dass ich Dir
weiterhelfen könnte, dann lasse es mich wissen.

Openoffice im Debian Look?

Hallo,
wie ja einige bereits sicher mitbekommen habe habe ich ursprünglich mal
Debian für den Desktop benutzt und bin jetzt zu Fedora gekommen. Nun
habe ich die Frage ob es möglich ist Openoffice unter Fedora einen Look
wie unter Debian zu geben? Ich habe hier zwar keinen passenden
Screenshot von meinen alten Desktop aber hier ist folgendes Bild:

Machbar ist es sicher aber wie? Irgendwie passt diese 'Debianversion'
sich vom Aussehen her viel besser in die Gnomeoberfläche ein.

Hallo Georg,
danke mal für deine rasche Antwort. Der LinVDR (basierend auf Debian)
ist gleichzeitig ein Samba-Server und stellt mir im Intranet die
aufgenommenen Filme im .vdr-Format im jeweiligen Home zur Verfügung,
die dann mit dem Mplayer angeschaut werden können. Also besteht hier -
meines Erachtens - kein wirklich sicherheitsrelevantes Problem,
bezogen auf den Anonymous login. Leider bin ich kein allzugrosser
Samba-Spezialist, da ich Samba nur für diese Aufgabe verwende und mir
ein Freund den LinVDR aufgesetzt hat.

gemacht und den Dienst neu gestartet - leider ohne Erfolg:

Ich werde jetzt mal weitersuchen (hoffentlich mit Erfolg) - vielleicht
hast du ja noch einen Tip für mich - wäre super.
