NTFS mounten

Ich bin von Mandrake umgestiegen und es stört mich das ich nicht
wie in Mandrake meine NTFS mounten kann. Anaconda hat mir
bei der Installation gesagt, dass es nicht möglich sei.
Also anscheinend muss ich das manuell machen. Bestimmt
hat die fstab was damit zutun, oder?
Kann mir jemand erklären wie ich das machen?
Fedora hat doch bestimmt ein NTFS Modul im Kernel.

C und C++ Umgebung gesucht

Hallo Ihr lieben!
Ich möchte C lernen und suche noch eine nette Entwicklungsumgebung dazu.
Ich weiß zwar, das das nicht so eine FC spezifische Frage ist, aber
hoffe dennoch, dass mir hier jemand antwortet.
Ich hab mir Emacs angeschaut, komme damit nicht zurecht. Ich könnte ja
einfach gedit (oder gleich vi ) nehmen, aber das ist mir zu wenig. Es
gibt doch sicher eine Entwicklungsumgebung ohne viel Schnickschnack die
ein Normalbürger versteht? Ich bin dankbar für jeden Hinweis.

Problem mit Mozilla und Firefox (Parallelbetrieb)

Hallo
Ich habe Probleme mit dem Parallel-Betrieb von Mozilla und Mozilla
Fireworks
Wenn ich als 'normaler' user in einer shell versuche Mozilla mit
'mozilla' zu starten, dann startet automatisch firefox! Das will ich
nicht. Mit 'firefox' startet normal firefox.
Also root kann ich jedoch ganz normal mit 'mozilla' auch wirklich
Mozilla starten.
Wieso geht es als root und als user nicht?
Ich benutze folgende Versionen:

Desktop & Window Manager

Liebe Leute
Ich habe sowohl mit RH wie auch mit Fedora (is ja RH) so meine Probleme im
Bereich Desktop:
Die einzigen Oberflächen (neben der Shell) sind diese riesigen,
speicherfesssenden, MS Windows ähnlichen (nicht nur vom aussehen sondern
auch vom "look&feel" und dem Ressourcenbedarf) Desktop's.
Jetzt meine Frage:
Ist irgendjemandem bekannt, ob es mittlerweile Überlegeungen gibt auch
kleine,schlanke Desktops,resp. mit nicht MS look&feel, z.B. ROX,ICE,
enlightement,....., in die Distri mit aufzunehmen oder soll das bei KDE &
GNOME bleiben ?

datei mit umlaut

hi ml,
ich habe eine datei mit einem umlaut im dateinamen.
das prob ist nun, dass ich sie weder kopieren, umbennenen noch löschen
kann. und finde ich das recht bescheiden.
ich habe es mit dem konqueror, dem mc und mit dem befehl mv versucht,
alle sagen mir, dass diese datei nicht existiert(file not found).
aber anzeigen tun sie sie alle...
ich habe auch den umweg über nen ftp-server probiert, aber
logischerweise hat das auch nich funktioniert, der greift ja auch nur
auf das dateisystem zurück.
hat jemand ne lösung für mich?

gnome/gtk-Äquivalent zu kprinter

Liebe Leser dieser Liste,
ich bin neu bei Fedora und Gnome - das entschuldigt vielleicht die
folgende Frage: Gibt es eine Gnome-Äquivalent zu kprinter? Also eine
grafische Oberfläche bei der man nicht nur den Drucker auswählen kann,
sondern auch den Seitenbereich, ob nur ungerade oder gerade Seiten, in
welcher Reihenfolge die Seiten gedruckt werden sollen usw.? Die
Druckeroberfläche beim Fedora Gnome-Desktop, die als Standard aufgerufen
wird ist ja nicht so leistungsfähig. Und wie bringe ich
Gnome-Anwendungen (Evolution, Nautilus, ggv usw.) bei, diese andere
Druckeroberfläche aufzurufen?

RE: Postfix MySQL Support

Um ganz sicher zu gehen habe ich das ganze rpmbuild Verzeichnis gelöscht und neu angelegt und danach nochmal postfix-2.0.16-1.src.rpm installiert.
Auch mysql, mysql-server und mysql-devel habe ich bereits deinstalliert und wieder installiert.
Leider hat das auch nicht geholfen und ich erhalte noch immer failed build dependencies. An was kann es noch scheitern?

Soll das nun heißen, dass dein rpmbuild erfolgreich war oder vielmehr, dass du trotzdem noch scheiterst? Wenn es Letzteres heißen soll, dann machst du definitiv etwas falsch, z.B. benutzt du das falsche .spec file, nämlich jenes vom älteren, ursprünglichen FC1 Postfix SRPM der Version postfix-2.0.11-5 und nicht das vom Update mit der Version postfix-2.0.16-1.
