delta cloud support for user_data and elastic IP (EC2)
by Paz Meoded
Hi,
1. I've tried to send user data to the ec2 instance while creating it but
with no success.
Can someone send a sample code for that?
2. I understood that I can use the Elastic (Public) IP with deltacloud
command. Can someone send a sample code for that as well?
thanks in advance,
Paz

'failed to upload template (code 0)' when trying to build template from the aggregator UI
by Steve Gordon
Hi,
I have installed deltacloud core and the aggregator. I have also
successfully connected the EC2 provider using my credentials.
When I attempt to build an image from a template I get the error 'failed
to upload template (code 0)'. I have not been able to identify any cause
for this error in the logs, though maybe I am not looking in the right
place.
When I asked about this some time ago I was directed to try to build
images externally and then inject them into the database
(http://www.mail-archive.com/deltacloud-devel@lists.fedorahosted.org/msg02...).
I need to know however how I can create images from the aggregator UI if
at all?

Re: missing item in documentation
by Eric Woods
Thanks Sander, this tip really helped. When trying to run the ec2 driver, I received the same error except the right_aws package was missing; sudo gem install right_aws resolved the issue.

delatcloud ruby client: how to send user_data while creating an instance
by Paz Meoded
Hi, all,
I'm pretty newbie user of the deltacloud ruby client.
I need to run an EC2 AMI with user_data info. according to the user_data the
instance will behave differently.
I've tried the following, with no success:
@instance = client.create_instance(image.id, :key_name => @key,
:hardware_profile => hardware_profile.id, :user_data => "server", :realm =>
r[0].id )
any suggestions?
thanks in advance,
Paz
