Teaching fedora through videos

Hello!
Everyday new users come asking for help and learn about FOSS, and our way
to help them is through Fedora. We know that there are a LOT of tutorial on
internet, but most of them are on *text* format and yet, people love to see
things on *video*. (even more if they are multilanguage)
Probably, there is a huge list of videos already on internet, but they
aren't organized, so our new contributor Nitesh Narayan Lal [1] from India
would like to come up with some web-based site where people can easily find
them (or at least where we can recomend a list of videos that might be
useful for new contributors)
Talking with Mark Terranova at FUDCon Blacksburg, we got this idea of make
a simple *video join page* where we will have a small list of videos where
people can easily understand and complete the different steps that must be
followed to be part of Fedora, or any specific group. Is easier for a
contributor to record a tutorial, lets say, 10min, instead spend 30min
writing it.
Nitesh has started with some easy tutorials (some that he has done and some
collected) and we would love that, if any of you are interested on this
idea, please, join us next thursday Feb-02 at 1530UTC [2] on #Fedora-Design
, so we can work on this idea and bring even more knowledge to our
users/contributors.

Introduction

Hi, I guess I should send my introduction to the list. I've helped
with a few design team tasks already, like making the FUDCon Blacksburg
signs, and making a new Ambassadors North America logo, etc. I don't
really have much experience with design, but am learning.

Introduction and skill set

Hello, Design Team,
My name's Sarah. I'm rather new to fedora but have used Linux for 14
years. I met Mo (hi Mo!) earlier this month at FudCon Blacksburg. She
taught me some awesome Inkscape tips and got me really interested in
the interaction/usability process.
Experience: I know my way around Inkscape and gimp and have created
everything from basic data graphs and buttons to T-shirt designs that
combine photographs and vector elements. I'm also good at taking
written requirements/heavy technical documentation, breaking the
content down into language that is accessible to beginners, and then
creating graphics, choosing imagery and writing new content that can
be used for tutorials, presentations, websites, etc. I also know
CSS(3), HTML(5), and a little javascript.
I'd love to learn more/help out with the interface/interaction process
as well as continue to expand my graphics skills. I've checked out
the open tickets and see some that nobody owns, but I'd also be
completely open to someone grabbing me to help them on their task.

Hallo,
ich habe definitiv nichts in diesem Brett geschrieben (schaut euch die
logs der letzten Jahre an!) und nun bekomme ich Antwortmails, das ich da
was geschrieben hätte?! Irgendwas läuft da schief!
Solange dies nicht behoben ist werde ich euch alle Nachrichten, die
definitiv NICHT an mich sind, weil ich den Ursprungspost nicht
geschrieben habe an euch weiterleiten.
Desweiteren hoffe ich, das das problem soweit zu lösen ist ohne, das
sich an meinem Account etwas ändert (z.B. Sterne, Anzahl der Postings,
Anzahl der Zugehörigkeitstage, etc.).

Da war einmal was gewesen, aber dann passierte etwas
schreckliches
eine Frau aß auf ihrem Sofa in Grappa eingelegte Weintrauben.
Plötzlich klopfte es, sie schaute auf ihre Grappa-Weintrauben
und ahnte, dass es bald vorbei sei mit der himmlischen Ruhe,denn
der sich im Türglas nur undeutlich abzeichnende Schatten bewegte
sich hektisch.
Der Türdrücker senkte sich quietschend, obwohl der Schatten noch
meterweit von der Tür entfernt war. Doch ein eiskalter Windhauch
ließ sie erschaudern.
Ein anthrazitfarbener Lederherrenmotoradhandschuh Grösse XXL,an
dem zwei Finger fehlten und aus diesen Fontänen von Blut
spritzen, das den teuren Perserteppich ruinierte. Sie schrie
"Wer hat meine Grappatrauben auf den teuren Tisch geschmissen
und nicht auf den Teppich"?
Der Schatten antwortete:"bin ich schwanger?" Worauf Sie
entgegnete:
"Ich war`s nicht!" Der Schatten krümmte sich vor lachen.
Verschluckte alle Trauben... und erinnerte sich wo er war. "DU
hast mir aber versichert dass ich heute wieder zum
Grappatraubenfresser mutieren würde. Selbst wenn Du Dich nicht
an unsere Vereinbarung gehalten
hast, vermisse ich Salz, Bier und mach den Teppich sauber!
Untertänigst machte Sie eine Verbeugung und zog so schnell sie
konnte einen Revolver aus der
Pralinenschachtel mit edelsüssen
Trüffeln. Ein Blick zur Uhr und

There is some kind of Kayako help desk system that someone filed a
ticket with using our mailing list's address.
I've blocked the email address it was sent from so it will *hopefully*
not post to our list anymore.
