Plan for Fedora 20 Design Suite
by Luya Tshimbalanga
Hello Designers,
The incoming Design Suite for Fedora 20 brought more highlighted changes:
- Cinepaint is dropped due to bugs [1], CMYKTool allow conversion from
RGB to CMYK.
- Customized favorites activities on the dock (Gimp, Inkscape, Scribus,
Blender)
- Additional font: Titillium
- Additional plugins for both Gimp (normalmap, dds, high pass filter)
and Inkscape (sozi)
- In Gnome Shell, enable category feature
In consideration,
- possibly include classic session
- inclusion of some tutorials (like CMYK conversion)
I submitted a review request of Gimp Paint Studio [2] , packager of
separate+[3] is awaiting for sponsorshipl I hope to include them in the
suite.
Feedback welcome.

brainstrom meeting F20 design - 27th August 6pm UTC
by S.Kemter
Hello team mates,
As you surly know the voting for codename for Fedora 20 started and the
voting will end on friday.
We couldnt start working on the design for F20 yet as we need the name for
it, but after the voting is done we can move.
We had for F19 a good brainstorming session via IRC and we shall do for F20
the same.
The meeting will be held in #fedora-design and it will be next tuesday the
27th of August at 6pm UTC

Re: [Design-team] F20 Milestone Banner

That would be a problem! Maybe we could specify the release num in the banner...

Hey!
I think we could do an anniversary artwork, however, my only concern is that the anniversary number (20) could get confused with the release number (19).

Hey, y'all! I just now realised, the next release will be our twentieth Fedora release!!! If y'all don't like it, we can scratch it, but I thought it would be cool to put a special milestone banner on the Fedora Project homepage. Just an idea, but what do y'all think?

Hello Designers,
The incoming Design Suite for Fedora 20 brought more highlighted
changes:
- Cinepaint is dropped due to bugs [1], CMYKTool allow conversion from
RGB to CMYK.
- Customized favorites activities on the dock (Gimp, Inkscape, Scribus,
Blender)
- Additional font: Titillium
- Additional plugins for both Gimp (normalmap, dds, high pass filter)
and Inkscape (sozi)
- In Gnome Shell, enable category feature
In consideration,
- possibly include classic session
- inclusion of some tutorials (like CMYK conversion)
I submitted a review request of Gimp Paint Studio [2] , packager of
separate+[3] is awaiting for sponsorshipl I hope to include them in the
suite.
Feedback welcome.

Hi Luya,
maybe think of adding Knotter also, its a cool new tool for easy
creating
celtic knot and/or islamic pattern, its really cool. Benedikt Schäfer
packaged it during Flock, so its ready. Benedikt also asked me for some
other things he can package, so I gave him mypaint-xsheet
In case of Sozi I am not so sure its necessary as Inkscape has as
default
already JessyInk what does the same and even more.

SVG for
by Christopher Meng
Hi list,
We often need to make a 80x200cm roll up banner for the party entry.
Seems the svg doesn't match the standard.
Any ideas?
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
