I'd file a bug on upstream GNOME for this, against gdm or gnome-shell.
The screen is part of *gnome-shell*, in fact, not GDM. IIRC and AIUI
(put those on my gravestone!), the screen was introduced before gdm
became basically a special case of shell - so the screen was written
assuming it'd be displayed when a *logged-in session* hit a critical
failure. But now gdm *is* just a special case of gnome-shell...it also
shows up when a *gdm instance* hits a critical failure. And obviously,
as you say, makes very little sense in that case. CCing desktop list.

flatpak run firefox --safe-mode
by Chris Murphy
This:
[chris@f28h ~]$ flatpak run org.mozilla.FirefoxNightly --safe-mode
Does not launch FF in safe mode. From the flatpak man page it suggests
arguments are at the end and are passed on to the app. So what am I
not grokking here?
Thanks,

GNOME 3.28.2 megaupdate
by Kalev Lember
Hi all,
Last coordinated GNOME 3.28.x point release is this week: 3.28.2.
We still have the f28-gnome side target and same drill as usual to get
builds in the megaupdate: build with 'fedpkg build --target f28-gnome'
(or if you accidentally built without it, just do 'koji move-build
f28-updates-candidate f28-gnome yourpackage-1.2.3.fc28') and I'll pick
your build up when submitting the bodhi update later this week.
Thanks,
Kalev
