Since you're the maintainers of Fedora Desktop spin, could you please put your opinion
into that bug report? I believe there is no reason to have LibreOffice on the DVD and not
install it by default. It just wastes user bandwidth (it has to be downloaded from the
Internet later) and time. Office suite is something that 99% of users need. Also it is a
regression from Fedora 17.
A related thing is the question of LibreOffice on LiveCD. We were not able to put it there
in the past because of the space constraints. But in Fedora 18 the target size went from
700 MB to 1 GB. We can now have it and install it by default for everyone using LiveCDs
(probably much larger user base than DVD users). The only required action is to modify the
relevant file in spin-kickstarts and send the patch upstream. Thoughts?
