simple-scan and shotwell are relatively core gnome apps. transmission... isn't. Are
we really defining bittorrent as part of the core GNOME experience?

It really fits better as an optional addon, or not included at all, IMO.

We do ship apps that are not part of the core desktop. Shotwell is not gnome (and gnome is developing a replacement), deja dup is not gnome, Firefox is not gnome, and all the system-config-* tools are not gnome.

Therefore I think "not part of the gnome core experience" is not really an argument you can use.

We have been shipping transmission by default for a while now, and nobody complained. It's also a very small app, so I see no reason why we shouldn't continue shipping it.
