I had a similar problem with an NVIDIA 8400GS that went away with the
current nouveau and mesa updates.
Currently Shell works fine and appears stable for the limited try I
gave it.
Hmm, it just started working for me too, with today's Rawhide updates,
fixing the GTK+ theme stuff, nouveau
xorg-x11-drv-nouveau-0.0.16-13.20101129gitf29afe6.fc15.x86_64 , and a
2.6.37 kernel I'm testing for kylem...now ben's trying to figure out
what fixed it :)
