Hello,
Thanks for your answer.
By the way, I cannot ask all my users to use "kill -s 15 -1" instead of logout.
I would really apreciate if you can help me to understand what is wrong.
Thanks again.
Best regards.

Dear Fedora users,
I have recently experienced a problem with the lxde desktop.
I have updated my linux machine from FEDORA 20 to FEDORA 21 Workstation then I have installed lxde with the following command:
                                                                          yum -y install @lxde-desktop
Since then, when I try to log out by selecting logout from the task bar menu, nothing happens and my session keeps going on. If I select reboot or shutdown from the same menu, it acts normally.
Previously, I was using FEDORA 20 with lxde and I never had any problems with the logout.

Any help will be welcome.
Thanks in advance.

According to satanselbow (third post on this discussion) you should have a glance at what might be going amiss with lxde-logout.

If all else fails and you're in a real hurry, save your work and run something like "kill -s 15 -1" to ask all your processes to be (gracefully?) ended. This should drop you back to your greeter. I acknowledge this is a dirty solution, but if you haven't other options this may serve you better than rebooting every time.
