Yelp and devhelp
by Steven I Usdansky
With "Mozilla the platform" depricated, can we now expect to see yelp
and devhelp rebuilt against firefox in the near future?

Hans, i'm sorry I should have read this paragraph a little more carefully.
Maybe a one time delay to allow the repos time to solve this problem once
and for all would be good (perhaps by writing a yum plugin as suggested
by others).
I did suggest earlier that people that care about this problem get busy
right away to solve this issue at the repo and documentation level. If
real progress in this area was demonstrated by the 3rd party repos and
others, i'm sure it would go a long way to convincing those that make
Fedora release decisions that a short delay was warranted.

firefox CPU load
by Erwin Rol
Does anybody else see the following behavior? I have two tabs open in
firefox, now i try to load a real slow page in one tab. When i select
the tab that is loading the page the CPU usage is about 50%, when i now
switch to the other tab the CPU usages goes to <1%. While loading there
is nothing on the page yet that could cause this CPU load, just some
text. The only difference seems to the the animation of the icon in the
menubar, the icon in the tab is animated even if the tab isn't
selected.

The only problem is that most of those users will learn that they HAD to
add an exclude to their yum config after it's too late...
What would be ideal (maybe not ideal but I think it's an idea towards
that) is a flag to prevent automatic updates of certain packages (in
this case Xorg) so people would have to do the update manually and if
possible with some sort of warning when you want to update it.
It's a little more trouble for people who aren't using binary drivers to
get the update but at least the Fedora Users list wouldn't get flooded
by angry users because an update broke something.

We all want a nicer and better xorg. And Fedor makes a good job... But I
think the 50 % for intel' video market counts "only" for business market,
but not for privat users like me and the most here using Fedora?
"I have a dream...!" ;-)
Would it not the best, to work hand in hand with Ati and nVidia and others
like intel, via..? I know! Easy to say, but I mean if you Arjan, an
acknowledged linux developer or other good developer here or the Fedora
xorg responsible person(s), wrote to Ati or nVidia's main linux driver
developer to warn them or ask them, when there is support for newer xorg
with the abi. I don't know the relationships to Ati or nVidia, maybe I'm
false...
If I would do it as normal user, I would really get no respond, only:
"Next release in the next time" and also not here in ex. of nVidia:
