well I agree that there are quite a few people
me too ;-)
who like to build their
own kernel config but based on our source tree. However the plan is to
include quite a bit of information for those people on how to get the
same result. It saves shipping 40Mb of redundant rpm and it saves quite
a bit of installation time though.

we're having the discussion now right?
Then why not put the kernel-source(code) in it's old state (like
delivered with FC2) in Fedora-Extras? Then we save the space in the ISOs
and those who are interested are able to download it from there? Or
fedora-alternatives if it opens? ;-)
