Yes, exactly. It's not a Java thing, it's a free software thing. If
we just grab binaries how do we know that they respect the basic
freedoms?

It's too bad nobody's built an equivalent to Maven Central that
requires at least sources to be uploaded to publish, similar to PyPI
for Python...
