dependent packages need to be rebuilded.

It would be great to announce this stuff a week in advance, so maintainers of dependent packages can coordinate the necessary rebuilds ... announcing it like "this happened, now deal with it" (without even including a list of packages that needs to be rebuilt) isn't really helpful.
