Installed preupgrade from testing, and yes it sees F10beta once I check the box for unstable distros.
preupgrade-cli --help results in a spectacular crash btw :D

I don't really have any info about the LVM snapshot stuff, but
preupgrade-0.9.8-2.fc9 (in updates-testing) should have Fedora 10 Beta
in its list of (unstable) upgrade targets. If it doesn't, file a bug.
