That doesn't make sense. If swap is maxed out, something gets OOM killed, not
slowed down.

If stuff is getting killed, I either didn't notice it or whatever. All I really knew was that it slowing down and the GNOME dialog for not responding windows shows up and whatever. Either way, upping the swap space pretty much fixed it.
