Just because a project is dead upstream does not mean it has to be removed
from Fedora.
No, but it will become more and more difficult to maintain. Right now it needs to be ported from pcre to pcre2 which is beyond my capabilities.
That being said, I don't have immediate plans to orphan/retire but wanted to start the conversation before it was an issue.
