It looks like all of the gnome games are still at v3.6.1 in Fedora 19...
I guess because they were split into multiple packages upstream. I guess
it's too late to get these into F19 since they are basically new
packages now, but I wanted to give a heads-up since they're still at
v3.6.1 in rawhide as well.

The split packages are already in Fedora for a long time and is very up2date

Thanks for your help. I'm trying to install gnome-chess in F19 Alpha
but can only find v3.6.1 provided by the package gnome-games-glchess. I
had assumed all of the other games were stuck at the old version as well
after checking for just that one, but now trying yum install
@gnome-games I see that some have indeed been updated, but the old
versions weren't removed yet, so I can have two different versions of
the same game....
At any rate, I really can't find the package for gnome-chess, and it
looks like some of the other games might be missing v3.8 packages as
well.

Hmm, there seem to be 2 issues here:
1) The original built from the unsplit 3.6.1 sources gnome-games-* packages
need to be blocked, ie:
[hans@shalem ~]$ sudo yum list '*mahjong*'
...
gnome-games-mahjongg.x86_64 1:3.6.1-4.fc19 fedora
gnome-mahjongg.x86_64 3.8.0-1.fc19 fedora
...
2) glchess seems to be missing from the split 3.8.x packages:
...
gnome-games-glchess.x86_64 1:3.6.1-4.fc19 fedora
...

Yes, except it's more than just glchess (now known as gnome-chess) that
is missing; it seems only about half of the games got updated.

If I were you, I would create a bug report against gnome-games with the
list of games. Once created, provide a link to the bug in this thread.

Yes, the gnome-games split is still work in progress, however it's
definitely planned for F19 still.
A number of the split up modules are already built. You can see the
status and links to the bugzilla tickets at
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/Gnome3.8#Scope
The remaining ones that haven't been imported to Fedora proper, all have
spec files posted for review. They are on my radar, but if any packager
wants to help it along faster, reviewing the new packages would be
great. (Really simple small packages!)
