Just to note that I'm at +8 or +9 GMT depending on day light savings which
is currently on at the moment. So if you work the time out I will not be
able to attend.

Meeting cancellation
by Paul W. Frields
Today's scheduled FDSCo meeting (1700 UTC) looks to be canceled at this
point. Most of the committee attendees will not be available today.
Perhaps we should think about rescheduling our times since our uptake
has been low lately. There was a scheduler page around the wiki that we
completed before, but I can't seem to find it. Link appreciated if
someone knows where we laid it...

Self-Introduction: Geert Warrink
by Geert Warrink
Mij name is Geert Warrink and I live in the village Nuenen in the
Netherlands.
Currently I am retired, but before that I worked as an electronic
engineer with Philips Research. In the last period of my working life, I
supported the users of our in-house IC design simulation package called
Pstar. This included giving courses to users and writing user
documentation. The language used in these activity was mostly English.
My goal in the Fedora project is the translation of documentation to
Dutch.
I think that I could do a good job as I have experience in this kind of
activities buildup in my working period. Besides, being retired now, I
do have quite an amount of time available to spend on this project.
I have been using Linux since 1995 of a PC, before that I experimented
with Linux on an Amiga 2000.
In the past, I have done some programming, but I don't really like
that.
All in all, I think that I can improve quality and at least the quantity
of the Dutch Fedora Documentation.
Kind regards,
Geert Warrink

AdminGuide work
by Vladimir Kosovac
All,
I have just started Samba write-up for the Servers section in the Wiki.
It's sandboxed at the moment, once I have complete layout and more
content I shall copy it to Drafts.
One question: some of the newer (like DNS) AdminGuide sections use the
old layout, with TOCs but some others don't (like MailServer). My
understanding is that we should avoid TOCs and multiple pages to ease
wiki-->DocBook conversion. Is that correct?

wiki collaboration
by Karsten Wade
Just a quick reminder to those who are new to collaborating with wikis.
One of the great things about a wiki is the ability for you to watch one
or more pages for edits. Then, if there is something to correct or add
in an edit from someone else, you can just go fix it.
For you folks who are newer to the team, you may have experienced me or
another editor dropping by your document and doing a whole bunch of
corrections, usually of the markup/wiki syntax, and often adjusting
grammar or tense.
This is to be expected (we all need reminders of markup syntax and to
use active tense), and it is a good way for you to learn while you are
doing the work. I try to appear early enough in the work process that I
can help you with pointers, so it helps the rest of your future work.
So don't feel singled out when one of us jumps on your page and uses it
as an example to you of how to do things the Fedora Docs way. It
happens with everyone. :) ... and unfortunately, the comment field is
just big enough to put in pointers to e.g.
WikiEditing#MarkingTechnicalContent and to type in much more than that.
You all are doing great work; there is so much activity on some days the
wiki edits just blur by. It makes my heart sing. :)

permissions and access control
by Murray McAllister
Hi,
I have been doing a bit on permissions and access control, will
hopefully be finished soon. Is anyone else keen to do the "access
control" part, because to be honest, I have no idea what is meant by
this. Is this SELinux stuff?
Thanks,
Murray.
PS sorry if this did not wrap :(
