Hi, I have converted <http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Docs/Drafts/AdministrationGuide/Permissions> to XML. If anyone wants to do anything with it... 1. Request membership to <https://admin.fedoraproject.org/accounts/group/view/git-managing-permissions> 2. "yum install publican publican-fedora git-all". The current Makefile for the book only works with Publican as shipped with Fedora 9 and 10. 3. read only: "git clone git://git.fedorahosted.org/managing-permissions.git". commit changes: "git clone ssh://<username>@git.fedorahosted.org/git/managing-permissions.git" (I have not tested the later. The syntax may be wrong.) Cheers.

Hi: My name is Hans, i'm from Bolivia,i have 25 years old; well i'll introduce my experience in documentation projects but first i've to say that i don't speek english very well but i understand it. i worked with many projects teaching linux, on this courses i made the manuals; i gave the courses too i documented software developed My experience in operating systems is high, im systems engineer, i'm working with linux almost 7 years, i think that i could contribute with user interface design and translate jobs. "Bug" in Fedora 10 release notes

Hi, I read Fedora 10 release notes and tried making liveusb as it suggested and saw that it has errors: http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/f10/en_US/What_is_New_for_Ins... There is no file "/usr/bin/livecd-iso-to-disk" on my Fedora 10 box even after installing package mentioned in documentation. Can somebody please look at it. creating man pages

Hi there, what is the standard way to create man pages in Fedora? There is a constraint: the package maintainer would like to see the original .txt version as well. Is docbook the way? If yes, which docbook tool should I use? Best Wishes - Gergely

TIP OF THE DAY: If you use the word "this" or "that," follow it with a noun that clearly indicates the antecedent. Ensure that your use of "this" or "that" isn't also an indicator of poor sentence construction. The word "lets" or "allows" following "this" or "that" is generally a sign that more editing is needed. INCORRECT: "This shows the user who owns the process." CORRECT: "This option shows the user who owns the process." INCORRECT: "Turn on the 'updates-testing' repository in the Software Sources tool. This lets you test new packages before they are pushed to the stable repository." CORRECT: "To test new packages before they are pushed to the stable repository, turn on the 'updates-testing' repository in the Software Sources tool."
