The files readme and readme-live-image that are included in Fedora releases need updates. The main readme needs a serious overhaul. If you are interested, these are rather short documents, but they are needed soon. We need to push out a new POT file to translators by this coming weekend, at the latest. If you've got a few hours between now and Friday, do this: 1. Pick one of these to update, emailing this list to let us know you are working on it. https://fedorahosted.org/readme/ https://fedorahosted.org/readme-live-image/ 2. Get the XML source and checkout of 'fedora-doc-utils', following the directions at the project pages. Alternately, read the latest plain text versions below and rewrite against the plain text. I'll happily insert changes in the XML for you. 3. For the 'readme', it needs updating against the current install tree. You will notice the content is rather old. The last update was Oct. of 2007. Hi, http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/f10preview/mr/ doesn't reflect the upstream localizations committed by me ( http://git.fedoraproject.org/git/?p=docs/release-notes.git;a=log is also proper). Unclear instruction in F10 Release-Notes

Hi, Guys, I have come across with one passage that is not clear of its intention. It is the part #: en_US/Fedora_Project.xml:56(para) Kbabel entry #722 as follows: ----------------------------------------------------------------- In order to talk on the <computeroutput>#fedora</computeroutput> channel, you need to register your nickname, or <firstterm>nick</firstterm>. Instructions are given when you <userinput>/join</userinput> the channel. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Nick name should be prepared already before you use the Xchat to join any channel. And the instruction which appears when one joins #fedora is not explaining anything about nickname: See below ------------------------------------------------------------------ -ChanServ- [#fedora] "Any advice you read here is provided by individual community members. Release Notes PO update

I saw that the Italian (it) Release Notes PO was missing strings compared to the POT. I made a re-merge and committed changes, so there are some fuzzy and untranslated strings that weren't in the file submitted by the Italian team. I figured that the Italian team would want to have these updates because they are always so quick and thorough in translations. There are still a few days left before we have to pick up PO for the final Fedora 10, so I wanted to let people know. There were also some minor changes to "kn" and "nl" but I think they were less overall. Thank you, everyone, for all your hard work on the Release Notes for Fedora 10! -- Paul W. how to build release-note

Hi, I need some help... Can someone confirm that for first translation of release-note requires 'Common enitites' translation as well? Or am I totally misunderstanding and this is not required at all? I have encountered the problme on building release-note as well. When running 'make html', it stops forever in the middle without any error but seems freezing. Any idea? why do we need font-metrics
