And so it is. Adam, thanks for the great work. I edited, tweaked a bit, added URLs, pruned, and reduced to only two exclamation points. Hopefully you find that emphasized the quality of the work by removing diluting content. :)

"Test pre-release? No, way, we _taste_ pre-releases."
How does everyone like this "final" version? Ready to:
* Push it to Release Engineering to use?
* Push to L10n/Ambassadors for localized use?
I think yes. Any +1 or -1?

Section ''6.3. Installation TCP/IP Configuration'' notes ...
{{{
The installation program supports both IPv4 and IPv6 protocols. If you are
not sure which addressing scheme your network uses, it is safe to leave
both options selected. Refer also to Chapter 9, Network Configuration for
more information on configuring your network.
}}}
This is not the case for F10 since installer networking was integrated
with NetworkManager. NetworkManager IPv6 support (and thus installer) is
tentatively scheduled for F11.

Self Introduction
by Ch. Junaid Anwar
My middle name would be Junaid.
I am a graduate of electrical engineering and have been working in
software development for about a year now, since my graduation. I work
on computers mainly due to personal interest and curiosity.
The first distribution I used way back when I was in 9th grade was
redhat 8. The open source community has come a long way with Fedora
since then. I switched to other distros many times, but Fedora always
had me coming back since others were always amiss at points. Personally,
I consider Fedora 3 as the distribution I had the most fun with. As my
first, most used since then, and my most favorite operating system since
then, I have great inspiration to improve areas I'd like to see improved
in Fedora.
I am not a habitual worker and only occasionally work, when I get the
drive. I procrastinate a lot too, but always find computers and software
fascinating.
I hope to have a good time here in the Fedora SIGs.
Regards

Docs details and deadlines update
by Karsten Wade
Friends:
Some updates on the documentation translation schedule.
The Fedora 10 release notes and all languages are now live:
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/
We included all translations regardless of % of completion[1] for the
Preview Release. We plan to update those pages every few days with
any changes to PO files that are committed.
If you would like request a push for your latest PO file, especially
if you have it 100% ready, file a ticket here, using your FAS account:
https://fedorahosted.org/release-notes
13 November 2008 is still the deadline for translations of this
content to appear in the 'fedora-release-notes' package for F10 GA:
* release-notes
* about-fedora
* readme
* readme-burning-isos
* readme-live-image
However, the only updated content that appears in the
'fedora-release-notes' package is the release notes. We are
validating and possibly updating about-fedora and the various readme*
files over the next few days. Our new deadline for that content is 06
November.
20 November 2008 is the deadline for translations of the Installation
Guide. We are pushing out a 'draft' preview for the F10 Preview
Release.
Because it is very important for translating documentation that the
writing be clear and not fluctuate with major rewrites, I am holding
back pushing the POT file until 07 November. I want to give the
writers and editors of the Installation Guide a few more days to make
the writing ready for translation. After that, we are hoping that
only technical content changes from bug reports and reviews of the
draft from the Fedora community.

F10 Preview release notes
by Paul W. Frields
I'm working on publishing a preview of the Fedora 10 release notes on
the web. They will appear shortly at:
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes/
Because we are still trying to get all the content updated for a final
POT/PO drop on November 6, some strings may have changed since
translators last worked on them. I am publishing all current locales
of the release notes regardless.
If you see strings on the web version that you're sure you translated,
but appear in English instead, there may have been a "fuzzy" change.
Remember that you will have until November 13 to complete all release
notes translations for the F10 GA release. The Docs team will build
the RPM for the release on November 14 to deliver to release
engineering.

[jkeating@redhat.com: Cambridge (F-10) Preview Release announcement]
by Paul W. Frields
My bad, missed this: Links to fp.o/get-prerelease should be http:, not
https:, and similarly to the wiki. (Despite guidance to the contrary
for individual email and to smaller distribution lists, http: takes
advantage of caching so it should be used in large-scale
announcements.)

We've been cooking, and now it's time for a final taste test!
The Fedora Project is proud to announce the availability of the Fedora
10 Preview Release. The Fedora 10 Preview Release is our last
pre-release offering before we let everyone taste the goods for real.
https://fedoraproject.org/get-prerelease
Doesn't it smell yummy? We know you can't resist, and we don't want you
to. We want everyone in the Fedora community to take an early sample and
tell us what you find. The recipe is pretty good, but now is the time to
make it perfect. Ingredients include:
* Faster boot using Plymouth
* Wireless connection sharing
* Better printing
* Enhanced software update and maintenance, from RPM 4.6 to
PackageKit
* Virtualization storage
* SecTool, security audit and intrusion detection system
* Glitch free audio using timer-based scheduling
And, since this is Fedora, we don't have anything to hide. Take a peek
at what is in the not-so-secret sauce by looking at our Release Notes in
the Fedora Project wiki. We use 100% pure free and open source software
here, none of that high-fructose proprietary stuff.
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/release-notes
Most of you should get a very tasty treat, but some of you might
experience a little bitterness. Don't fret - all is not lost - there is
still time to improve the recipe before we share it with the world. Head
over to the Fedora Bugzilla (http://bugzilla.redhat.com) and let us know
what offended your palate.
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_file_a_bug_report
File bugs here:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/enter_bug.cgi?product=Fedora&version=rawhide
If you'd like to interact with the chefs more directly, join the live
staff in the kitchen by coming to #fedora-qa on irc.freenode.net, or
leave a message on the corkboard by the back door:
http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-test-list
Ready to get your free preview sample? Go ahead and swipe one straight
from the oven - we don't mind. Put on your favorite heat resistant
BitTorrent mitt and grab one of the following goodies. Take as many as
you like.
Thanks for tasting!
https://fedoraproject.org/get-prerelease
P.S. Please remember that as we run a public mirror system, the mirrors
for Fedora 10 Preview will not all be ready at this time, and may become
overloaded as the day goes on. If you receive permission denied
messages, please continue trying until you get through.

[Fedora Installation Guide] #25: F10 hard drive install instructions have changed

An outline of the install instructions can be found at
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Anaconda/Options
As of F10, in addition to copying the ISO files to the partition, you must
also copy the install.img file.
* <code>repo=hd:<device>:/<path></code>
Look for ISO images on the hard drive partition given by device
(/dev/sda1,
for instance). This may not be a partition that will be formatted
during
installation later. These should be ISO images, not an exploded tree on
the
hard drive. anaconda will not look for the install.img file in any of
the ISO
images. The install.img must be placed in <path>/images/, or a stage2=
or
CD must be provided. device can be a device name, LABEL=, or UUID=.
An alternative to copying the install.img into <path>/images, you may boot
the boot.iso (which uses the install.img on the boot.iso), then choose the
partitions containing the ISO's.
