by Red Hat Bugzilla

Summary: cobbler kssendmac and breed suse
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=479470
Summary: cobbler kssendmac and breed suse
Product: Fedora Hosted Projects
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: low
Priority: low
Component: Deployment_Guide
AssignedTo: mhideo(a)redhat.com
ReportedBy: quenzler(a)us.ibm.com
QAContact: rlerch(a)redhat.com
CC: fedora-docs-list(a)redhat.com
Classification: Fedora
Target Release: ---
Description of problem:
breed = suse
/boot/grub/menu.lst contains kssendmac
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
cobbler-1.2.9-1.fc9.noarch
How reproducible:
Install a SuSE client
Actual results:
kssendmac exists as a boot parameter on a SuSE client
Expected results:
No kssendmac boot parameter
Additional info:
Find a way to avoid adding kssendmac to the kernel_options string if it's not
applicable to the breed.
Hack (since I'm only installing SuSE clients):
# diff utils.py utils.py.ori
478,479c478,479
< # if len(kernel_txt) < 244:
< # results["kernel_options"]["kssendmac"] = None

The need to alert an Red Hat internal mailing list about this is, IMHO, plain silly and wrong.

Fedora 12 Docs Schedule
by John Poelstra
I'm still waiting for the tasks you'd like added to the schedule for
Fedora 12 (re: IRC meeting a week or two back). In the mean time for
your reviewing pleasure I've taken a shot at the Fedora 12 Docs schedule
based on Fedora 11.
Please tell me what needs to be corrected by referencing the task number
here:
--> http://poelstra.fedorapeople.org/schedules/f-12/f-12-docs-tasks.html
As an added bonus I've also created a combined view with the release
engineering schedule (notice the overlay in different colors). The
intention if this version is to place the Docs tasks in the context of
the rest of the release:
-->
http://poelstra.fedorapeople.org/schedules/f-12/f-12-docs-and-releng-task...
And if that wasn't enough, I'm also generating iCal files for this
release that are team specific. So pop this into to your favorite
calendar application and tell me which additional tasks you'd like to
see or have removed. To keep the presentation clean it only includes
the more important tasks/milestones.
-->http://poelstra.fedorapeople.org/schedules/f-12/f-12-docs.ics
It would be most helpful to get your feedback by next week so I can move
on to tuning the translation schedule.
Thanks,
John

CMS (Zikula) kick-off
by John Poelstra
Hi,
I've volunteered to help kick off and facilitate the Fedora cross-team
CMS (Zicula) planning and implementation meetings. I think things will
work best if each team puts forth a representative. We will hold our
meetings on IRC or over Fedora Talk and they will be open to anyone, but
it will make it easier to schedule and coordinate the meetings if I know
who the key people from each team are.
I believe the key teams we need representatives from are: Documentation,
Design, and Marketing. Are there any others?
Once I know who the key people are I'll reach out to those people to
find a meeting time and day that works best. I'd like to get a response
by Thursday, June 25, 2009, so we can kick things off.
Thanks,
John
