Publican issue
by Ruediger Landmann
Hi all -- sorry to start the year off on an inauspicious note, but:
Today, we have an issue where Publican on Fedora 13 and Fedora 14 stops
replacing entities. In other words, text like "Copyright &YEAR;
&HOLDER;" appears in your locally built documents.
Publican depends on perl-HTML-Tree and a related module,
perl-XML-TreeBuilder. New versions for both are available and making
their way through Fedora updates. It seems that updating one without the
other creates the scenario described above.
I recommend:
1. Update perl-HTML-Tree to the new version (4.1-1). This package is
already in general release, so a normal "yum update" will get it.
2. Download and install the new version (4.0-3) of perl-XML-TreeBuilder
from Koji.[1] Clicking on the link will normally allow KPackageManager
or PackageManager to install the package directly. If not, download the
package and run "yum localinstall <packagename> --nogpgcheck"
3. If Publican then works again as expected, log into the Fedora update
system (Bodhi) with your Fedora account and leave positive Karma for
perl-XML-TreeBuilder.[2] This ensures that the package sees general
release as quickly as possible.
Cheers
Rudi

I've removed you as the owner of the Virtualization Guide. I'll change
the bugs later.

Summary: Fedora logo must not be distributed as SVG
Product: Fedora Documentation
Version: devel
Platform: Unspecified
OS/Version: Unspecified
Status: NEW
Severity: high
Priority: low
Component: docs-requests
AssignedTo: eric(a)christensenplace.us
ReportedBy: ian(a)ianweller.org

Classification: Fedora
The Fedora logo must not be made available as an SVG in Fedora documentation,
as it is in all of the documentation I took a quick look at on
docs.fedoraproject.org.
The only available means of getting an SVG of the Fedora logo needs to be by
emailing logo(a)fedoraproject.org. Please replace the SVGs with a PNG of
appropriate size on all documentation.
