Hello, all! My name is Laura Bailey. I work on the Red Hat virtualization documentation, and I want to try to get these docs upstream, so into the Fedora Docs project I go. :) I'm trained as a starving artist (creative writing, editing, and lit theory) but I've been with Red Hat for a little over three years; two working on JBoss Enterprise Application Platform docs, and one working on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtualization and performance tuning docs. I hadn't touched Linux before I started, but I'm now a RH-certified sysadmin with a keen interest in making documentation useful and simple to understand. If there's anything I can help with, from proof-reading to idiot-proofing, just let me know! https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=821187 FWIW, Macs do not use UEFI, rather they use pre-UEFI Intel EFI 1.10 spec. It's a small point, but I don't think it's a good idea to imply they have a UEFI mode. Chris Murphy

Contributors list of F17 release notes

Hi all, Could someone tell me why there are only few of the translators listed in release notes contributors section? This is different from the F16 release notes. Docs Leader elections!

It is a tradition in Docs for the leader to offer to step aside at the end of each release. With Fedora 17 coming out tomorrow, this means it's time for me to see if anyone else wants the role. By the start of Monday's meeting, please volunteer or nominate a willing victim to the mailing list. If there are no volunteers/nominees, I will continue on as leader. If there is only one candidate, then that person is the winner by default. If there are multiple candidates, we will set up an election to select the new leader. Self-introduction

I have written a lot of academic papers for my English classes. I covered a variety of topics in those papers. I wrote a screen play based on the "Killer Angles" novel by Michael Shaara. I wrote a descriptive paper on series and parallel electrical circuitries and another descriptive paper on the process of long division. I can go on about the history of Linux for 15-20 pages. I am two years into studying for a BS in Electrical Engineering so my skill set is a beginner's level of c and c++ and I am taking a java class over the summer. I am learning a lot about linux from Fedora 16's documentation and I want to be able to keep it easy to learn for users of future version. I am getting a "service unavailable" prompt when I tried to sync my key with server specified. Thank you.
