First question... it depends on couchdb...did we get couchdb past review yet?
I would encourage the packager to rebase to 0.2.... to get iCal
support. The 0.1 version is not worth packaging.

Another thing.... when i was compiling it.. i needed a newer version
of python-distutils-extra Fedora was shipping due to a bug in
python-distutils-extra. I filed a bug about it.

Id rather see this updated then hack a patch into lernid to work around the bug.

First question... it depends on couchdb...did we get couchdb past review yet?
CouchDB is in Fedora, afaik. However, lernid seems to require
python-couchdb (I submitted a review request [1], but need to adjust a
few things soon - I'm in Boston atm and will do so once I'm back home).
Also, I had the impression that it'd require desktopcouch, which isn't
in Fedora, yet. However, there's been some effort going on [2].
I would encourage the packager to rebase to 0.2.... to get iCal
support. The 0.1 version is not worth packaging.
Agreed! Looks there's already been a 0.3 release, at least according to
the tag in setup.py [3].

I think that's true for 0.1
I think that's untrue for 0.2 with ical support.

Well, the events list is apparently currently hardcoded to a file on
Jono's server, which lets only an event called "Ubuntu Example Week"
show up. It might make sense to have something on fedorahosted.org...
I e-mailed Jono shortly after his initial announcement and he got back
to me saying that he'd be planning on multiple distro support and that
1.0 would be fully distro-agnostic.

That's the impression I had gotten. Not sure what would be exactly
reasonable at this point. But I suppose we might not want an
Ubuntu-branded application showing Ubuntu-related events in Fedora.

Just to follow up... I tag teamed with Seb have python-couchdb through
review.... and my other bug got fixed for python-distutils-extras.
Talked to Jono Lernid 0.4 should have the hardcoded Ubuntu configs
moved into a config file that we can easily replace.
Are there any other package reviews for deps for Lernid 0.3? I'd like
to get everything through review before I leave for the deep deep
south so that Seb or Chris can get Lernid 0.4 up and running for us to
use as quickly as possible after Christmas.
