The goal of the HCT is to generate scores that represent the complexity of
the constituent modules of large IC design projects – i.e. SOCs. The
design's complexity scores are useful to verification teams so as to
efficiently focus resources based on the dynamic complexity profile of a
design. The scores are a useful tool to guide HDL designer's refactoring
efforts. This data provides an efficient way to "come up to speed", by
pointing you to the most important modules of a legacy design.
Importantly, the complexity scores allow managers to estimate schedules
and resources in a more robust and effective way than any one standard
metric can provide (SLOC for example).

Thanks.

Yes, but, uses old GTK+ API. You can look into the current source code.

Please go through the latest GTK+ tutorial, and try out the examples.

\--
No. Tobias Dichtl enhancements will not be affected by your DGC GUI code.

[fedora-electronic-lab] error from the FEL F12 live dvd 15 Jan release
by Howard Howell
Hi, guys,
I have had a catastrophe and deserved it. I was working on the system yesterday and got hit with a major power outage. I had recently messed up my backup drive, and didn't realize it. So now I am off line with no backup... ARGH!!. However I have continued to work on the F12 stuff, as I attempt to recover my disk.
Currently when I boot the f12 live disk I get a kernal panic. I have attempted to send in the bugzilla's on those. But today when I did shutdown to get a fix on the issues I am fighting, I got an error message that might be more help.
It showed a full page of stuff that I couldn't read (font too small for my eyesight), but I used a magnifying glass and got the following at the first couple of lines:
Kernel Bug at kernel/time/clockevents.c:262. I don't have the sources, so I cannot look at this line yet. Maybe once I get this main drive of mine rebuilt, or at least recover the few crucial files, I can provide more information. For now I don't see much sense pursuing the FEL stuff until you guys get a look at the kernel stuff, and I get my drive rebuilt or rescue as many of the files as possible.

[fedora-electronic-lab] PiKLab and F12 live DVD
by Howard Howell
Hi, all,
Because of some issues with my mail, I am starting this thread in hopes
of getting back on track. If this is annoying, I am sorry, but I am not
having any good days on this project.
I have had several problems getting this mailing list sorted out,
getting the F12 dvd to install, and getting PiKLab to run.
I did finally get the F12 live dvd to boot and was able to run PiKLab,
but had some problems at that point:
1. PiKLab would not run gpsim. I selected gpsim from the programmer
selection window, and at that time, the specific tab opened with the
error message:
Could not detect gpsim version.
I closed it to send mail describing this, then realized I could not
access my mail yet because I didn't have it setup to work from the live
DVD. I also realized that I wasn't sure if I had opened PiKDev or
PiKLab (dumb, but I wanted to make sure things were right.)
2.Kernel crash:
I opened PiKDev and immediately realized that that wasn't the right
program. I closed it, and brought up PiKlab. At that time I noticed
that I had a Kernel crash. I used the automatic tool to generate a
bugzilla input. Then I rebooted, and attempted to send an email
describing the issue. Somehow that email went to my personal address
ONLY.
3. For some reason the earlier messages all ended up addressed only to
myself. I am not sure why this occurred, and I will have to look at the
setup of my evolution, and see if it is something there, or perhaps
because I was working late at night I fumble fingered the message
choice. I am working from 9AM to roughly 2AM trying to get this stuff
and my current projects all done.
Please let me know if there is anything I need to do now. I will have
to see if I can find the bugzilla. If one of you can find it, send me
the link and I will add any amplifying information or try anything
suggested.
regards,
Les Howell

Hi, Chitlesh,
It took me a couple of hours between yesterday and today to find
and subscribe to the FEL mailing list. I was expecting to find
separate lists for Piklab and Ktechlab.
I created this message from scratch, so I don't know if it will
link to the others correctly...
I am using Fedora 11: from dmesg:
Linux version 2.6.30.10-105.fc11.i586
(mockbuild(a)x86-01.phx2.fedoraproject.org) (gcc version 4.4.1 20090725
(Red Hat 4.4.1-2) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Thu Dec 24 16:26:26 UTC 2009
I am running gnome, but I have the KDE libraries installed. Do
I actually need to be running in KDE to use these packages?
I don't know how that will affect other programs I have installed and in
use. I understand that KDE is a different desktop manager, and I do
know
that I can create profiles that will let me use either, but are there
issues to having both installed, and running both from the same account?
In
other words, how big is this can of worms?
I have both Ktechlab and piklab installed.
I am experiencing the same issues as g.
I had lots of personal stuff over the holidays, so I am just
getting back to this.
I can upgrade to F12 next week, but not before due to issues I
am currently working on.
For now I can download the FEL live CD and see if that fixes the
problems, providing I can use my current user account.
Do you and g believe this will fix the issues? I think missing
fonts, and library linkages would not normally
have OS updates as the solution, although it may be a way to incorporate
several issue solutions in a single shot, but I
would like to better understand the lower level connections so I can
move forward with documenting and fixing the ultimate
solution I need.
