I'm waiting for answers like:
- I use kicad every day I need, for job and for hobbies
- I use kicad for hobbies only, my boss don't like open source project
- I'm not a kicad user, EDA open source sucks..
- I don't like kicad, I use geda

Do you really want gspiceui (and gwave) get out?

request to add klayout
by David John
I would like to request the addition of klayout to FEL. I am also ready to
help in testing & packaging klayout, if help is required. The klayout
website is http://www.klayout.de
klayout is a fast GDS/Oasis viewer & editor. I have been using it during the
past 1 year and found the tool very useful in chip level layout DRC debug
and creation of QA structures. It would be a great addition to the FEL list
of tools.

Future of kicad
by Alain PORTAL
Hi,
A new kicad version will coming soon.
And I think it's now time to think about the future of kicad package.
kicad really lacks of component and footprint libraries (last upstream commit is 7 months old and upstream seems to don't see the library bug reports (autism???)).
So, I think it will be a good idea to split the kicad package in two packages: kicad and kicad-libraries, so, we will be able to provide new libraries without building a new kicad package.
What do you think about that?
Regards
Alain
